International engagement

We continue to work together with international partners to collectively uplift the security and resilience of critical infrastructure. We partner with countries across the globe to both share information and develop tangible approaches to tackling shared issues.

As a member of the Critical 5 (C5) we work with Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The C5 have made notable policy and program advancements to protect and secure their critical infrastructure. Australia continues to work together with our C5 partners to share knowledge, experience and develop information sharing tools.

The 2024 C5 Shared Narrative assesses each C5 member nation’s:

  • definition of critical infrastructure
  • key sectors and policy approaches
  • engagement and support strategies.

To learn more about the C5 Shared Narrative, read - Adapting to Evolving Threats: A Summary of Critical 5 Approaches to Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience (848KB PDF).

In December 2024 the C5 also released a joint statement on Security and Resilience.
